Estimating services are performed utilising traditional manual materials take-offs and sophisticated StruM.I.S structural steel estimating software. With our in-depth market knowledge of steel construction costs and quality estimating process in place, we are inherently more accurate than companies that perform tender estimates internally.

Quality detail workshop fabrication and erection drawings are the backbone of the steel construction industry; they are a road map utilized by project managers, fabricators and erectors and can greatly affect the profitability of any project.

We are fully experienced in direct request for information (RFI) co-ordination between engineers, designers and builders. We have all the facilities in house to complete detail workshop fabrication and erection drawings as well as outsource any overflow. Using fully licenced StruCad structural steel detailing software our detail workshop fabrication and erection drawing services comply with Australian steel industry standards and engineering codes. StruCad enables the project to be drawn in 3 dimensions, which is beneficial during the structural engineering and design review process.

Our standard set of detail workshop fabrication and erection drawings include 3-D model fly through, 3-D mark plans, set-out plans and elevations, fabrication drawings for all steel members, component drawings for all steel connections, DXF template files for all plates, NC cam data files for automatic processing machinery, materials list, steel purlin schedule and bolt list. All materials data is transferred to our StruM.I.S nesting system to minimise wastage and generate materials reports for procurement and cutting purposes. All documents and drawings are supplied by email in "DWG" or "PDF" format - drawings can be provided in batches for various phases of a project. Contract and project management services are specifically implemented to suit client requirements for each project. Our project managers understand the trends and outcomes in steel construction, they are experienced in occupational health and safety (OH&S), communicating and meeting with clients, building and construction companies, structural engineers and designers, programming co-ordination with other trades, purchasing, document control, steel fabrication, welding, surface treatment, quality assurance (QA), surveying and steel erection.

We endeavour at all times to maintain confidentiality of clients, suppliers, subcontractors and colleagues. We strive to identify and minimise risks to protect our client’s interests and consult with them about all problems and risks (if they arise) as they become known and any commercial matters soon after they are made and any sub-contractor or supplier problems relating to the project.

We enhance our services by providing clients with specific reporting data relating to the progress of their contract, the measurement of additional works (variations), preparation of progress claims, cost analysis and Green Star reporting. We are also able to communicate to clients through Skype which reduces time and cost on projects.
